As she walked down the street Peyton took in a deep breath as she enjoyed the beautiful spring day. She couldn’t wait until she was able to get her son so they could go for a walk in the beautiful weather. Peyton smiled as she closed her eyes enjoying the warm spring weather. It was beautiful and she couldn’t wait to enjoy it with her baby boy.
Opening her eyes she took a deep breath and continued on her way to the place she was renting hoping to get there so she could get her car and head over to get her son. Peyton loved her son with every thing she had. He was her everything. He was why she kept going every day. Thing was only a few people actually knew she had a son. Mostly the ones that worked at the day care that watched him for her.
The weather was perfect and Peyton couldn’t help but want to enjoy it with her son. Maybe she could get a small picnic together and take him to the park and enjoy a beautiful weather with him. Sighing she knew she couldn’t take him to the park. No one knew he was her son. Most of the people thought he was her baby brother that she helped take care of….a lot. She wished she could tell the world he was hers. But she couldn’t. People could be cruel. Especially to teen moms.
Shaking her head she blinked and then pulled out her cell phone and called the day care. ”Hi. It‘s Peyton. I just wanted to let you all know I‘ll be heading over in about an hour or so. I have a couple errands to run then be right there. Yes. Oh? Umm..ok so yea. That‘s great. Thank you so much. Yeah. I‘ll see you in about an hour and a half. If I‘m going to be late I‘ll call you. Alright? Ok. See you then. Bye.“she said smiling then hung up the phone and slipped it into her pocket.
As she neared her home she went to pull her keys out of her pocket but stopped when she realized that her keys were not in her pocket. Gasping she quickly turned around and back tracked trying to find her keys. ”Oh no! Oh no. No. No. No.“she said looking around quickly then bit her lip and tried to find her keys. She had to find them so she could not only get into her house but into her car. As she backtracked she took in a breath and was extremely worried.

Declan was walking around the residential neighborhood. He'd parked his 2012 Lexus RX 350, silver, a few blocks up. He was walking back toward it when he spied something glittering on the ground. He bent down and picked it up. It looked like house keys. Curious, he looked around.
His eyes landed on a dark haired young girl looking frantic as she was searching around her purse. Declan grinned and walked up to her.
"Are these yours miss?" he asked her dangling them in front of her. "I think you dropped them back there" he said grinning.
His blue eyes caught the sunlight, making them sparkle a bit. She was cute. He was dressed in a pair of black leather pants, a white shirt, and a matching black leather jacket over it. His dark hair, almost black, was neatly brushed back away from his face. He kept a smile on his face.
"You live around here?" he asked curiously. He was looking to buy in Hollow Falls a permanent home. Right now he was renting, but that was getting bothersome. His niece, Elizabeth, was staying with him. Granted he didn't mind, but the place they were in now was a bit cramped. He needed room to spread out and give her some privacy too. he watched the young lady and waited

Looking on the ground her eyes grew wide and she just prayed she found her keys. Biting her lip she wanted to cry because she was so afraid of not finding her keys. Hearing footsteps she ignored them thinking they’d walk past her but they stopped and spoke to her. Hearing the voice she looked up and gasped standing up quickly and grasped her keys quickly. ”Oh god! Thank you so much.“she said holding onto her keys for dear life.
Having her eyes closed she clung to her keys thankful to this stranger for finding her keys. Hearing his question she finally opened her eyes and gasped accidentally. He was so handsome but so was Nolan until he turned out to be abusive toward her. Swallowing she realized she hadn’t replied and nodded. ”Yes. Right there actually. I was about to go inside when I realized I was missing my house and car keys. Thank you again.“she said softly holding her keys.
She didn’t recognize him from anything because she never had time because she was taking care of her son and working. Nibbling on her lip she sighed. ”What about you? Do you live around here?“she said glancing around. He must have walked because there was no car near by. Glancing up at him again she caught his eyes and bit her lip. Blue….they were a beautiful blue and she had a thing for blue eyes. Though Nolan’s hadn’t been her sons is and she was happy he didn’t look a lot like his father. Holding in she looked at him waiting.

Declan smiled at her.
"Not exactly, well not yet really. I'm looking at homes in the area. I'm thinking of moving here with my niece. We need a bigger place" Declan replied.
He inhaled deeply and motioned to his Lexus.
"I had to park so far away from the home. Is parking usually this bad? Although I must say I'm grateful that the home I am looking at has a driveway" He grinned at her. "Of course then someone like me would never think about walking too far anyway"
He frowned at this statement as he realized he had to walk far now. Clearing his throat, he turned to her.
"Do you recognize me?" he asked her grinning coyly. All women knew who he was. Who didn't?
Some labeled him arrogant, and self centered, but those that were close to him like Liz, knew that that was just a ruse. Declan was really kind and loving. he and Liz were extremely close to one another. He was the only guardian who wanted to take her in after the accident. Her mother's parents refused to take her, complaining that it would be another mouth to feed in count with their already 6 children. It was just disgusting really. Declan shook his head, clearing it of all thoughts.
His main focus was on Liz now and making her happy.

As he explained she nodded and glanced around shaking her head. ”No. I think some one is having a dinner party or something. Otherwise this block is pretty dead. I have a driveway so I use it but I rent. I can‘t afford to buy the place. It’s a little big for me but it‘s the best thing I found within my price range so I took it.“she explained as she saw his car. He had money then. She hoped he was a snob like her parents were. Money was their downfall.
Tilting her head she looked at him confused. ”Someone like you?“she questioned being confused and then heard his question and she shook her head. ”No. Should I?“she asked looking at his grin. He seemed smug about who he was. As if everyone should know him. She didn’t know who he was. Peyton didn’t get out much.
Waylen was her life. She spent all her time well all her free time with him and he was a baby still so she spent most of her time with him. Watching cartoons or something like that instead of other things. She just wanted to raise him and make him happy and raise him to be a bright young man and a gentlemen.

Declan grinned at her.
"Declan Barnes. I was in the movie Sharpened Pencils about that teacher that abused drugs? It was in the theaters" he said a bit stunned that perhaps she hadn't even heard of the new movies that had come out.
His eyes twinkled. "Dinner parties are fun. But yes this block seems really nice. I'm thinking of buying 1149 up the block there" he said motioning to the split level home. It was modern, but yet almost touching the million dollar mark.
"How long have you lived here in the Falls?" He inquired of her. "Oh by the way what's your name? I never got it" he said.
She seemed a little off , probably picking up on his arrogance. But then again everyone was. He learned to let it roll off his back without any second thoughts. People judged based on first impressions. You needed to really get to know someone before you can make a snap judgement.
He could feel the warm sunlight on his back, heating the leather jacket. While the weather wasn't exactly cold, it was a bit chilly for Spring time. Summer was right around the bend. He hated the hot weather. Spring and Fall were his favorite seasons. He had to go and pick up Liz in a few moments. Perhaps this lovely lady would like to accompany him for dinner?
"Would you like to accompany me for dinner? It'll be my treat for finding your keys" he offered cheerfully and waited for her to reply

When he mentioned his name she began trying to recall it and then heard the movie title and shrugged. ”I think I heard some of my class mates talking about it but no. I‘m sorry. I‘ve never heard of it or you. But you are an actor? That must be fun.“she said softly then heard him talk about dinner parties and then glanced toward the house he wanted to buy and gasped because she knew the price of that house and was I bit surprised. ”That house is really expensive. I couldn‘t even afford to rent a house that grand let alone buy.“she said softly then looked at him sighing.
”I‘ve never had time to do much. Busy with school and work…“she said and then under her breath and to herself said her son. At his question of how long she’d lived here she thought for only a moment and smiled. ”Alittle over a year.“she said softly then sighed unsure of if she should give him her name or now. ”Peyton Turner.“she said then looked down at the watch and then looked up at him.
Standing there she turned her bracelet lightly and shifted her weight becoming nervous about picking her son up on time. She hated that he was at the daycare most of the time. She wished she could spend more time with him but time was never on her side and forced her to leave him there more often then she liked but they didn’t mind. They understood she was extremely busy but she cared for her son. She didn’t leave him there over night and she took care of him so they understood how she was.
Looking up she was surprised when he asked her to dinner. He just met her. He was already asking her out. ”I‘m sorry? Dinner? I don‘t know…I mean…I have to clean my house and everything…“she said looking down. Although she would love to go to dinner with him because he was so kind and he had found her keys. But she didn’t want to leave her son at the daycare because she wanted to pick him up and yet she didn’t want this man before her to know that she was 17 and had a son.

Declan beamed at her.
"Well, you can bring along a friend if you want. My niece will be with us so I promise to behave" he said lightly holding up a hand in mock promise.
Perhaps she was worried about being alone with him being he was still a complete stranger. he grinned.
"My niece will keep me in line" He joked lightly. "Come on its my treat. I'll take you to The Bisonet, a famous Italian restaurant. how does that sound?" he prompted.
He would pay for her dinner and with Liz there, he wouldn't get into too much trouble. His blue eyes studied Peyton's brown ones. They were almost a chocolate color, he could almost get lost in them. He cleared his throat again.
She had said that her friends had been talking about his movie. He winked at her.
"yep it is fun. quite fun. And yeah the house is expensive but its the only one on the block that has enough room for what Liz and I need. I mean i could go smaller, but she complains that there isn't enough room for her computers and clothes...women" he chided teasingly. He leaned against a lamp post and watched Peyton eagerly.

Looking down she began fidgeting and became worried when he offered that she could bring a friend. Sighing she thought, He‘s not a friend….he‘s my son. But I couldn‘t bring him. He‘s just about a year old. I couldn‘t do that…. How could she possibly reveal that the ‘friend’ she’d have to bring was a baby. Biting her lip she glanced away from him worried about her son. ”I don‘t know….I mean….this ‘friend‘ would be a hassle to you I‘m sure.“she said softly swallowing the lump that had formed in her throat.
When he continued to be persistent she looked up at him and gasped when he said where he would take her. She had heard a lot about it but couldn’t go because of Waylen. It was decided. She would ask the daycare to watch him a little extra tonight and she’d pay them extra. She knew that Waylan wouldn’t be able to go to a restaurant like that. Biting her lip she sighed. Could she really be able to go and leave him with the daycare staff again….
As he explained she nodded and understood. Some girls needed more space. ”Yea. Understandable.“she said shrugging lightly then bit her lip looking at the ground once more.

Declan shrugged his shoulder at her statement about her friend being a hassle.
"It's fine. I'm tough." Declan said softly.
He began wondering if perhaps she really didn't want to go. he sighed.
"Look, if you really can't I understand. I'm not gonna force you. I really hope you do decide to go though. But here's my number in case you change your mind" Declan said and reached into his pocket pulling out a business card with his name, email and phone number on it. He handed it to Peyton.
"I must go now Miss Peyton. My niece is waiting for me to pick her up at school." He smiled and then turned to begin heading back toward his Lexus.
If she changed her mind, he would surely be happy, but he wasn't the type to force people to do things they didn't want to do. She could most certainly call him if she changed her mind.
He reached his Lexus and took out his keys. He clicked the 'unlock' on his key fob and the headlights blinked. Declan walked around to the driver's side and opened his door. He paused behind it and looked up at Peyton. He gave her a wave and smile.

Hearing him she bit her lip and looked down then sighed. Could she really bring him? Shaking her head she had to keep him a secret. Swallowing she listened and nodded at him. ”I would love to go it‘s just…I can‘t. I‘m sorry.“she said softly to him and then watched him take out a business card and she raised a brow then took it and looked down at it reading it in her head.
As he spoke again she looked up and nodded understanding. She needed to go pick her son up from day care. Maybe she’d see him again. Nodding she stood there and breathed deeply. ”Thank you. Ummm….It was nice meeting you, Declan.“she said sighing and then watched him go on and she looked down at the business card and smiled lightly before looking back up.
He waved and smiled at her and she nodded and smiled. Waving a little she turned holding tight to her keys and headed to her house. Walking up the steps she unlocked the door and headed inside. Standing there she bit her lip and smiled then pushed against the door and prepared the house in order to bring her son home.
