OVERALL PERSONALITY! Perfection, it's something that seems to have been drilled into her head since the very beginning, even though her mother had never enforced it. If anything, her mother was always happy with her, and never pushed her hard. It seems that since Evangeline's death, Genevieve has put it in her mind that she needs to be harder on herself, like she'll never be perfect enough, like she constantly needs to live up to the standards she imagined her mother to have set for her. She doesn't want to waste anything, especially all of the money and time her mother invested into Genevieve's career - dancing. Her mother was always up late, fixing rips in her daughter's leotards, or spending countless mornings pulling back her daughter's hair, before being told it was too lose, and starting over. Genevieve wants to keep dancing for as long as she can, to make good use of the love and devotion her mother had put into her only daughter.
With that, Genevive is a little on the anti social side since she left France. She's afraid of growing attached to someone, or losing focus on her dancing career because of some silly man. So, unless it is absolutely necessary, Genevieve doesn't talk much, and in result comes across as bitchy or snooty - but she's really not. She's very humble, but strongly determined and focused on her form and poise. When she's complimented, she blushes and smiles shyly, before rushing off to practice more, to be better than just 'good balance' or 'pretty hair'. Perfection.
HISTORY!
So, nine months later, she was born. Naturally, Evangeline was a wonderful mother, who did everything she could to make sure her daughter was happy and raised perfectly. Too perfectly. They had a gorgeous flat in Paris, France, where Genevieve was taught in the finest schools, and she had made it clear she wanted to dance. And she did, Evangeline enrolled her in ballet lessons, and soon after horse riding lessons as she fell in love with horses, too.
Genevieve graduated from a high end French art college, majoring in dance history, choreography, and equine sciences. On her 19th birthday, around two years ago, her mother suddenly died from unknown causes - speculation was she was murdered by a burglar, while others say she simply passed away from a sickness that she had not told Genevieve about. A lot of people kept the truth secret from her, so Genevieve is not really sure what happened.
Heartbroken, devastated, and a little lost, Genevieve decided she wanted to go to America, to get away from the people who knew her all of her life, and who constantly pestered her about her mother and how she was feeling. She found Hollow Falls and moved in quickly, unable to imagine herself anywhere else. While settling in, she found a dance studio to keep doing what she loves and knows her mother wants her to do.[/ul]
